Minimalisma is a Swiss label founded in 2011 by Maja Akraberg. Scandinavian by roots and with a background in fashion and design, she grew up in Tórshavn on the Faroe Islands, where her mother – a gifted knitter – dressed her in finely hand-knitted wool. That early love of natural materials still defines Minimalisma today.

When Maja came to Switzerland, a friend gifted her a piece of silk for her baby daughter during her very first summer here – and Minimalisma was born. The brand stands for timeless essentials in pure natural fibres: silk, merino wool, cashmere, alpaca, organic cotton and linen. Clean, seasonless cuts, gentle on delicate baby skin and made to be passed on – Nordic-inspired design from a small, family-run label.
